This game looks and feels super nice, and I'm super glad I played it! It really seems like a polished game for the most part, and I didn't really encounter any game-breaking bugs either. The environments work really well, and overall it was a fun time. I don't even like shooters that much, but I still ended up enjoying it nonetheless. Keep up the good work, you definitely deserve the recent recognition you've been getting!

The futuristic game environment really drew my interest!!! The game made me want to continue playing different. Future style games are my favorite, and this game did a great job of making you feel passed modern times. I could see where the games story was going and I may even complete the own game on my own time!!

This game plays exceptionally well, to a professional standard. Everything from the story setup at the introduction to the game visuals (both the background and the character animations) to the thrilling gameplay and attack mechanics were excellent. What impressed me the most was the game's ability to immerse me in the game world and to make me want to continue to play multiple levels. While I found that the many different game mechanics interesting and useful, it was a bit difficult to digest everything at once. I think it would've been better if each of the early game levels only had 1-2 "E: Interact"s each. As seeing around 6 of these in the first level led to me starting to skip them as I was getting bored of reading and felt I was getting flooded with information. Overall, Lost Machines was a fun and engaging game to play that I could see myself playing all the way through!

This game was actually a banger, I thought it wouldn’t be but I like the style it gives it a futuristic dystopia vibe. I feel like this definitely has potential to be best game created by a Purdue student.

I think this game has a lot of potential. I love the lore of the game and the whole futuristic style. It looks interesting. Though here are my gripes. The slow down time ability feels rather pointless as the robot is also slowed down alongside the world. The robot should move at normal speed while everything else is slowed down. This could have made it more useful. I also did get stuck on a couple platforming sections, with one of them being the last windmill platforming section. And the ranged options feel way too underpowered in my eyes as it took quite a bit of power to kill them. I get this game is stealth oriented, but the options should also support having powerful ranged attacks. The boss I fought in the second level, I felt like I couldn't do a thing to "Patience" no matter how much I shot him. A health bar for the bosses would have been nice. I just ran to the next room after that, which I don't whether that was intentional or not. If you put these improvements in place, you're game will do very well!

The game was honestly very average.

The game has a beautiful futuristic art style, the robot you play as is for the most part easy to control, and the level design is mostly solid apart from a few places where I got stuck. I do have some suggestions about how you can improve the game. You should have an options menu to allow the player to change the controls. As for the ability to slow down time by freezing, I recommend when the player decides to do so, the robot you play as does not get slowed down along with the world. As of now, the robot you play as is slowed down along with the world, so I find the option to slow down time rather pointless. I also couldn't figure out how to stop time from being slowed down once the number reaches a negative number, which I don't think is intentional. When the player decides to equip the shield or strengthen their blade, I recommend you put a sound effect when the player decides to do either action.

I hope this review of mine helps if you ever decide to improve upon the game. I recommend you do so. I hope you keep developing and improving upon the games you make in the future.

My rating for this game currently is 5/10

Great game!

This platform was very engaging, especially the environment it took place in. This reminded me a lot of the NieR series, whether this was on purpose or not. The combat, various logs, and enemies really reminded me of that series. I really liked the movement, with areas being simple to complete in one or two tries, but engaging enough to feel like there was new content around every corner. I was playing with mouse and keyboard, and i felt like these controls worked well. I really enjoyed the ambience and overall aesthetic of the game. I'm looking forward to continue playing, as well as checking out future releases from this developer.

Thanks for the game!
